Although the sweetness and sour topping was good, the texture and season of the meat was disappointing. Too many cracker crumbs made it dry out, and the meat was very bland. After making this, I compared this recipe to some others and establish that, when dry staff of life crumbs or cracker crumbs were used, the other recipes used just one/two loving cup of cracker crumbs and more often than not seasonings were added then that the meat wouldn't be bland (garlic, horseradish, worchestershire sauce, etc.) This is Not the ultimate meatloaf!

This was my beginning meatloaf and it turned out fantastic! I did however use basis beef instead and I did not have an onion on hand so I used half a package of onion soup mix and breadcrumbs instead of cracker crumbs, ketchup instead of tomato sauce. I was afraid that 1/2 cup of brownish sugar would be too much because of the ketchup so I used 1/4 cup instead for the sauce and I did not use whatever vinegar in the sauce...still it turned out perfect!
07/20/2007
Good. There is way to much sauce. I would half it next time.

I take been making this recipe for about 4 years and it is e'er a huge hit!! I get asked on a weekly basis simply I usually brand one-2 times a month. I use the recipe as stated except I utilize footing beef and when it is formed in the pan I take my finger and poke about 3-4 holes through the top down the centre, this just allows more of the sauce to absorb. I also add together 3/four cup chocolate-brown carbohydrate instead of ane/2 and sometimes I even sprinkle a little on the top of the meatloaf. When we cut and serve I take the sauce from the pan and we spoon over our meatloaf as a sauce. Everyone that doesn't like meatloaf definitly try this one, it tastes nothing like the traditional. Hopefully many more will discover this recipe to be great!!!!!!

i had never tasted nor made a brown sugar meatloaf before. this recipe was very easy to brand. i followed it discussion-for-word, and the results were very tasty! the loaf itself was moist and yummy. the sauce was too sweet, and since there was lots of information technology, i drained if off the adjacent time. i look forward to making information technology over again with less brownish sugar. i don't know that i'd change anything else.
11/27/2004
Kim, this meatloaf was fabulous! It was and so moist, unlike most meatloafs I accept tried. I do agree with some of the other reviews that the sauce to continue top was excessive. Literally of course. I poured the sauce over and still had a lot left, so I waited to come across if I needed it while in the oven thinking that peradventure the sauce would evaporate or absorb into the loaf. It didn't. You could probably half the sauce and it would be fine. But this was all the same the all-time meatloaf nosotros have e'er had. A keeper!!!
02/26/2011
Merely wonderful!!! I did add about seven cloves of garlic, crushed and chopped and finely diced reddish bong pepper to the mix. I also used panko breadstuff crumbs in place of the crackers. I took others advice and omitted the water. The meatloaf of juicy and very flavorful. I will definitely make this over again. It'due south a keeper!
06/27/2007
Wow -- this was the best meatloaf I take ever made, and I've made many recipes! I used lean ground turkey, and bread crumbs instead of crackers. I simply had diced tomatoes on mitt, no sauce, but I think I will do this once again this way -- they chunky tomatoes were fantastic. I as well followed other readers' proffer and halved the sauce, but next time I'll do the original amount (perchance it'southward less because of the chunky tomatoes). I baked information technology in a brownie pan in a dome-shape, and would take enjoyed more than sauce to embrace it. The sauce is delicious! Very tangy and flavorful. My husband HATES meatloaf, and he gobbled this up and went back for seconds! And no ketchup needed! I am adding this to my rotation!
03/06/2011
Fabricated this for my hubby and followed the recipe exactly. I probably should have read the reviews first and omitted the h2o (it isn't needed) and cutting the sugar by half. The recipe is Mode too sweet otherwise. My married man said it tasted as though someone had poured processed all over the meatloaf. Nosotros couldn't eat it - what a waste of time and coin.
eleven/23/2010
I used italian breadstuff crumbs and only a i/4 cup water! Information technology is much improve with the italian bread crumbs! It has a much better flavor! The best I have ever made and I'chiliad one of those people that doesn't similar annihilation she makes!
10/22/2010
I used ane lb. of lamb and 1/2 lb. of ground pork. I used ii slices of dried staff of life crumbs instead of crackers, and added diced onion to the meat meatloaf. The sauce was way too watery. There was as well a bunch of grease on superlative since the meat was a bit fatty. Next time I might bake it for 20 minutes then bleed the fat off before I add together the sauce(minus nigh two/3 of the water or more than).
08/13/2002
We liked this meatloaf recipe alot!! Information technology made likewise much liquid though then I fabricated a note side by side time to use 1/2 cup water and maybe a piffling less dark-brown sugar.
10/30/2010
Too sugariness.........
eleven/14/2005
I loved this meatloaf! And then did my married man. Since lots of people suggested the sauce was too much, I cut it in half -- and had about 1/four c. left over -- and also used oatmeal instead of cracker crumbs. Moist, with just a hint of sweetness. Yummy!
ten/12/2010
I used a combination of ground beef, ground veal and footing pork as well as Italian breadstuff crumbs rather than the cracker crumbs
07/nineteen/2010
Great Recipe!!! Kids loved it.
08/29/2006
Wish I would have left the water out like reviewers suggested! It was pretty good anyway, I merely left it in the oven longer. I'll make this again because information technology's so like shooting fish in a barrel and I'm certain it volition exist even better next time w/o water!
05/13/2008
This was absolutely delicious! I did make a few changes - I used footing beefiness, Panko bread crumbs instead of cracker crumbs - and i did poke holes in the meatloaf as someone else had suggested. I did non observe that in that location was besides much sauce as someone else mentioned - it was perfect! Thanks for a great recipe!
09/14/2010
I Honey this recipe, tonight was the first fourth dimension I used this recipe. I used hamburger meat, it turned out great, meat was moist, glaze on top was wonderful. All the same, I did non add the water and cut the amount of crushed crackers by half.
07/09/2011
It was skillful- but way fashion to much sauce, the meat was a piddling soggy- I wouldnt make this once more
11/fourteen/2004
This was an easy recipe (especially for a culinary-challenged higher student similar myself) and turned out delicious! My roommates and I made only the meatloaf part (not the sauce), with the addition of some garlic, and the meatloaf was better than anything nosotros had eaten in a while. I would exist careful, equally the meatloaf was 'soggy' or very moist, but we cooked it a fiddling longer at a lower temperature and everything was ok.
01/03/2007
I should have read the reviews earlier I made this... Way likewise juicy. Also I learned in time to come attempts when you put your meat in the pan form a ball that doesn't touch the edge of the pan - you will become ameliorate results from the meatloaf and a dainty crust on three sides.
08/10/2001
I thought information technology was a bit besides sugariness... I would cut the brown sugar in half next time. Otherwise, swell.
12/20/2004
I take made this meatloaf a couple times now. My married man is a big meatloaf fan. This is very good and easy to brand. Perhaps other reviewers didn't care for the sweet and sour taste, I recommend this. Some other reviewer mentioned the meat overflowed out of the pan, well perhaps a larger pan would brand sense. I bought a wonderful loaf pan from K-mart, made by Martha Stewart. It is larger than your boilerplate pan and works nifty with quickbreads besides. Thank you for a super meatloaf recipe !
02/thirteen/2001
Being British, this was an excellent choice of meat, I found it to be very delicious simply the way Kim has it laid out. I fabricated no changes and loved information technology. The kids however were not as thrilled just that'southward kids, the adults loved it. Keven
06/17/2011
I made this with basis beefiness and used ketchup instead of tomato sauce because I honey ketchup and can't imagine eating meatloaf without it. It tasted amazing, the best meatloaf I've ever had! The just affair I didn't similar was the corporeality of liquid in the bottom of the pan. Next time I don't think I'll add together any water at all to the sauce topping. Other than the extra liquid, it had amazing taste and texture.
02/04/2002
My husband and I loved this recipe. I used half ground turkey and one-half footing turkey sausage and used stewed tomatoes instead of lycopersicon esculentum sauce. My husband fifty-fifty said "I didn't know turkey could taste so good". This recipe was great and piece of cake. I will definitely make again!
02/10/2003
With the exception of substituting quick oats for cracker crumbs I followed this recipe to the letter. I questioned the cup of water in the sauce as I thought it was as well much water and fabricated the sauce thin only it was perfect. My son, who would never eat meatloaf consented to take a bite and loved it. His exact words were, "It'due south the flop, Mom!" For those who aren't in the know, that is high praise. There were no leftovers so I can't evidence to their goodness but I will exist making this i once more.
10/17/2002
Meatloaf never tasted this practiced. My friends couldn't believe how moist and "un-meatloaf like" this recipe turned out to be. Add a little red pepper to it for kick and it'southward perfect.
05/26/2003
This was horrible. The but reason that I am non giving information technology a 1 star is because my husband did swallow his serving just I but think he didn't want to make me feel bad. I, however, took one bite and that was information technology. The recipe said you could substitute any ground meat and then I used ground turkey. In that location is something off on the sauce. I followed the directions and it fabricated then much that it was overflowing in the loaf pan. I only used half of the sauce (which was really the consistency of water) and then half way through cooking I poured the rest off the height of the loaf. The meatloaf itself was so soggy when cooked through. I am pitiful but this recipe simply didn't work or taste well.
04/03/2007
I made this meatloaf terminal night, which happenend to be the first fourth dimension I've e'er made meatloaf at all and information technology was succulent! I added a green pepper to it and should accept added more salt to taste simply I'g learning as I go. Very like shooting fish in a barrel and will definitely make once more!
05/07/2010
DELICIOUS! ..I did however mess up and only add 1/ii loving cup of cracker crumbs...couldn't tell though..only realized it when i went to get in again and i yet had and then much of the staff of life crumbs left lol. I used italian bread crumbs, garlic & herb lycopersicon esculentum sauce, and ane package of mccormick's meatloaf seasoning to give the meat a little more flavor. Not big changes but big results.... this is going to be something i brand weekly! The sauce is AMAZING!
01/05/2007
This is my husbands favorite meatloaf. I use footing turkey and less brown sugar than the original recipe calls for. Really easy, and really tasty. Information technology does make quite a fleck of sauce, so don't apply a loaf pan that'due south too pocket-size.
02/12/2006
Whatsoever meatloaf recipe I've had over the years lacks sense of taste. I've made this one over and over, ever irresolute things up with either basis turkey or half ground turkey and half basis circular. Information technology'southward always moist and flavorful. I make my own bread crumbs instead of using cracker crumbs. The result is about the same. Too, I cut back on the brown sugar (I use nighttime.) because otherwise, it'southward a picayune too sweetness, and my husband and I like to employ horseradish mustard for extra kick. It'south a winner every time!
09/09/2002
This was a slap-up recipe. My hubby LOVED information technology. It was very quick and piece of cake to make. I didn't have any love apple sauce on mitt so I substituted it with ketchup. Information technology still turned out delicious. Next time I will utilise the tomato plant sauce and I expect it volition gustation fifty-fifty better. I gave a copy of the recipe to my mother who is eager to try information technology. Cheers alot for such a great recipe that volition remain in my family for years to come.
01/12/2008
This meatloaf is very very skillful! One proffer I have is to leave out the water altogether. It is already very moist without the water, then I tin can't imagine it with a whole cup! My fifteen month sometime absolutely loves it and can't get enough, non to mention my married man! I have already made this twice, and programme to definitely make it once again!
09/twenty/2006
I used footing turkey, very tasty and moist. I did follow the other reviews and halved the topping sauce. Will use recipe once again, thanks!
xi/03/2006
This will now be a staple in our dwelling house! I made this for the outset time final night.I had unexpected guests and was terrifed it would taste skillful, simply it was a hit! The only change that I made was I used balsamic instead of regular vinegar and I put a chip of it in the meat. I used turkey. I used the water in the sauce and basted the meat loaf with the sauce that was in the pan and this worked great. Information technology actually cooked for about i hr xx min. This is a groovy recipe! Just a side note, this is the first meatloaf I accept ever fabricated. Cheers.
02/06/2003
Excellent recipe! I did make a few changes though. I used one lb beef & one/2 lb basis pork. Likewise, I felt the quantity of the sauce was a bit much, and so I used 1/two C water and 1/4 brown sugar (left the original measurements with the remaining ingredients).
04/26/2007
I made this with Craven. It was expert. Dissimilar than the normal meat loaf. I will brand this again merely less liquid!
10/09/2007
This was very tasty. Only very very watery. cut the liquid. I kept cooking and the liquid never cooked off. I fabricated this with turkey and it worked very well. It has great season but again, toooo much liquid.
11/twenty/2008
Bully recipe! Omitted the h2o (definitely not needed) and used bread crumbs in identify of cracker crumbs. Next fourth dimension volition cut the sugar in half. Was too sweet for our tastes. Always looking for new recipes for lamb and will definitely make over again.
08/26/2013
Love this recipe, I won't make meatloaf whatsoever other way. I've been making this for at least four years now. I employ ground beef and breadstuff crumbs instead of cracker crumbs. I besides use apple cider vinegar. My married man LOVES saucy nutrient and then I actually DOUBLE the sauce portion and bake it in a 9x13 pan. Nosotros spoon the actress sauce over egg noodles or mashed potatoes. A huge family favorite, even the kids love this.
10/30/2007
This was expert. I made meatloaf "muffins" in my muffin pan bc I didnt take a loaf pan and information technology was great. I used Garlic and Herb breadcrumbs instead of crackers and omitted the h2o for the glaze. The kids and husband all loved information technology. I used ground turkey meat.
02/22/2007
I started with this as the basic recipe but fabricated lots of changes, and it came out fantastic. I used ground turkey and 2 eggs instead of i, and cut up the ends from a loaf of crusty bread instead of using cracker crumbs. I added two stalks of celery, and I put virtually 2-3 tbs of ketchup and one bundle of french onion soup mis in the meatloaf as well to give it extra flavor. I didn't make the tomato plant topping, but topped information technology with french onion soup mix and sour cream instead since i was serving it with borscht. Ok so basically what I made turned out to exist a completely different recipe than this ane! But it came out very good for my get-go meatloaf attempt!
08/27/2001
This is the all-time meatloaf I've ever fabricated. Everyone loved it. My girl wasn't to big on it, but shes a picky eater. I will definiately brand this over again!!
12/25/2006
We did this for Christmas brunch - and I got more compliments than I usually get for doing the traditional turkey! I made information technology with ground turkey/1/4 basis chuck. I cut back the chocolate-brown saccharide to one/four, and added carmine pepper to the top for some boosted kick. The family loved it. My husband did non even need whatsoever ketchup for his meatloaf!!
eleven/17/2003
This was Non practiced!!!! Will not make once again Too sloppy and likewise sweetness.
05/20/2005
This was my starting time meatloaf and it was fantastic! Super easy to make and my husband loved it. I didn't add water, but used a little extra tomato sauce.
04/12/2006
Having a definate twist to traditional meatloaf recipies, it'south sweeter and more moist due to the sauce that bakes correct in. I used all ground beefiness, rather than the lamb. I'd definately recommend it as I've been asked for the recipie past people who don't typically 'leap for joy' when meatloaf is being served!
02/25/2001
This was the get-go meatloaf i have always made, and it turned out to be a success. I'm not yeat 18, and was aprehensive about how the meatloaf would turn out being that i misread the amount of meat the recipe chosen for and added too much. Just my older sister and my dad loved it. My mom, who is a calorie-free eater, enjoyed a portion, and my poppop, who is 1 of the best cooks in my family unit, was pleased as well. I idea it to be nice and sweetness and information technology was even more delicious the day later it was made. I also found that a small can of stewed tomatoes is an excellent replacement for the love apple sauce. I am currently in the process of convincing my younger sis and my brother-in-police force who despise meatloaf to try it. I'm certain they volition love it as well. To Kim, whoever and wherever you are, your recipie rocks!!!
02/03/2005
I thought I fabricated enough for leftovers, but by the stop of the night we had finished it all!
eleven/10/2004
I've been making Kim's meat loaf for about 7 or 8 years. The best meat loaf e'er. The only things I've changed is I utilise beef, and I don't use any water in the sauce. Fantastic
06/01/2006
I used ground turkey for this recipe. Added some fresh garlic and italian seasoning to the turkey. Also, for the sauce, just omit the water, and it will plow out perfect.....simply plain yummy!
12/12/2007
This recipe is very flavorful, moist and delicious! I love the sweet-tangy sauce and like another user suggested, I put holes in the loaf using my finger, then poured the sauce over it. Doing this allows the loaf to absorb a dandy corporeality of the yummy sauce.
01/17/2007
I used turkey and this was very expert. I did use less h2o as suggested by other reviewers, and even so I still but used half the sauce on top of the meatloaf. Too, I used lycopersicon esculentum sauce that already had garlic and oregano in it - it helped to add more season. Yum!
ten/04/2006
Really enjoyed this recipe. Slap-up gratuitous flavors, especially the dark-brown sugar confronting the vinegar in the suace. Used turkey instead of the lamb, which for me was gold. Recipe makes a lilliputian too much of the jus, boiled over in the oven.
01/08/2007
This recipe turned out succulent. I was hesitant to make it because I hadn't made a meatloaf with these ingredients earlier (like vingar, brown saccharide etc.) but it turned out great! My married man loved it, and my daughter clamored for more than.
07/31/2008
I made this exactly as listed except I used basis beef instead of lamb. I must say I was disappointed. I have to concur with others that the water should have been omitted. Even and then, though, I'm not sure this would have been a keeper. It but didn't have that zing or tongue "WOW" factor.
x/25/2005
My hubby has been complaining for thirteen years that I don't make meatloaf like his mom's...until now! Thanks for sharing!
03/25/2008
I used basis turkey, and diced tomatoes instead of sauce (was out), and but half the water, per reviews. Very good!
01/04/2009
Hmmm...does minced lamb take longer to melt than does beefiness? My meatloaf was undercooked after fourscore minutes in the oven. I concord with other reviewers that in that location was Style also much sauce and very watery. Perchance using ketchup or part ketchup instead of sauce would aid. I did cut the h2o in one-half, but it wasn't enough. The sauce barely fit in the pan with the meatloaf so was likewise runny and greasy. I may endeavor this once again, but with many adjustments.
10/07/2008
I utilize basis turkey and omit the water. My family unit actually likes this meatloaf and have fabricated this several times.
05/06/2010
child's favorite! I utilize turkey instead of lamb, add one chopped light-green pepper, and leave out the water in the sauce.
05/05/2008
I took the advice of some other reviewer and changed this to brand it my own and it was fantastic so I am not certain how information technology would taste fabricated exactly the way it was written. This is what I changed/did; I used basis Turkey, used a white onion, exchanged tomato sauce for Classico pasta sauce, exchanged crackers for i/2 cup Italian staff of life crumbs, used tarragon vinegar, used Dijon, added a fine chopped green bong pepper, 4 garlic cloves and a tsp hot sauce. I as well left out the water. All-time meatloaf I accept ever made and my married man loved it and he isn't a big meatloaf person.
09/11/2002
This meatloaf is great it made a change for me and my family I usually make meatloaf that has a lot of lycopersicon esculentum season but this i has a dainty sweetness coat . I used ground beefiness instead of lamb.Even my picky 2 yr made a "happy plate"!
10/27/2013
This is delicious! I suggest double the sauce recipe add one/2 the water, put some of the sauce in the meat, cascade some over the loaf & estrus upwards what'southward left of the sauce & pour over individual servings! Im about to eat this entire loaf to myself & Im not exaggerating. I made it with ground beef & the ingredients I had on mitt I used dijon mustard & I think it gave it an even better gustation. Also I used traditional pasta sauce, it is prepared with a few herbs in it. I call up the minor difference in ingredients I used fabricated a huge difference in flavor. & I volition be cooking it again!! sticking with the original recipe & the closest ingredients I have, I'k only uping & thickening that yummy sauce & putting some in the meat, my only adjustments. Oh & I used saltine crackers, information technology wasnt specific merely if it said bread crumbs I'd have skipped this yummy meat loaf. It'southward and then good!! This is my first time making meat loaf & this is now my get to recipe. I have never had a amend meatloaf, I love the season of the mustard & saccharide.
02/07/2008
I bought some ground turkey and wanted a new recipe to try - tired of the turkey meatballs. I fabricated this last night and information technology is delicious. I omitted the water; substitued breadstuff crumbs for the crackers and ran out of onion and so, I used onion pulverization instead. I as well added some garlic. Yummy!!! Thanks for sharing.
06/18/2010
My family is non large on meatloaf, only I wanted something unlike for supper. I used footing beef, and decreased the water to one/2 cup. Every bit it was, my loaf pan was almost alluvion. During cooking I scooped off some of the sauce because it looked like a lot. Just so my family complained that at that place was not plenty sauce! More sauce would have been good for our mashed potatoes. Everybody liked information technology and I will make this again.
01/26/2013
Succulent flavors in this, made with half lamb and half basis beef. As others have posted, fashion also much sauce/liquid as written. I think perhaps cutting the water completely is the mode to go, if you lot're using tomato sauce (I used some Muir Glen pasta sauce, worked well); might exist that it should have been that water + some tomato *paste*? Not sure, but all in all, will make once again with the adjustment of cutting the water.
eleven/29/2004
Astonishing! I halfed the ingredients for the sauce and turned out to exist the all-time meatloaf I've e'er had!
05/23/2003
I was very disappointed with this recipe. I was expecting something very succulent co-ordinate to all of the other reviews--nosotros found this to exist very bland in flavor and didn't really care for at all. Distressing, won't be making this i again.
04/xiv/2005
This recipe was very unique but skilful, I never had meatlaof like this. My fiance wasn't sure he would like this, he ate it up like crazy. I made information technology with homemade mashed potatoes. Thanks for the slap-up recipe, it is a keeper in my books.
01/19/2005
My family usually volition non eat meatloaf, Only they loved this. It was very easy to brand and I volition make this again!
11/twenty/2007
I made this meatloaf with ground turkey and it turned out delicious. The flavor is unexpectedly sweet and tangy – not at all like the typical thick, ketchup based sauce that coats most meatloaf. I had never tasted one with a brownish sugar/vinegar sauce before, so at first bite, the flavor threw me off. Information technology really grew on me though, and now this is my go-to recipe. Just beware if you're expecting mom'due south downhome meatloaf, considering this is much more exotic.
09/21/2006
I make this all the time...the kids beloved it....reduce the ingredients for the gravy.
01/28/2008
Very Good! The whole fam enjoyed it.
01/20/2003
VERY Proficient meat loaf!! I loved the Coat simply the residuum of my family prefered information technology wothough then next time i will try the same recipie without the glaze!!
11/03/2002
My family loves my meatloaf, but this is by far the best recipe ever. My hubby did non care for the sauce, merely the kids and I loved it! Tastes fifty-fifty better as leftovers.
04/01/2003
This recipie was astonishing!!! This meatloaf left my husbend, begetter and family friend asking for more than and the recipie.
10/24/2007
All-time meatloaf ever!!
ten/24/2006
I liked the flavour a lot, merely it was a little too moist. I made it with ground craven, maybe that had something to practise with it?
02/08/2006
Delicious for my first turkey meatloaf! Since I didn't have much meat on paw, I added lots of steamed carrots and peas to bulk it upwards. I used half white vinegar-half balsamic vinaigrette for the sauce topping and the whole thing was scrumptious!
03/06/2006
I've never made meatloaf just this was astonishing! I used turkey, decreased water and sugar amount. I substituted 1/4 c of the staff of life crumbs for wheat germ to go far healthier. It was super moist, not potent at all. Melts in the rima oris!
03/01/2008
Just finished this and made the error of not reading the reviews kickoff. FAR Likewise MUCH LIQUID!!! That is really my but complaint. Neither my wife nor I like meatloaf and we really enjoyed this. (She's in the kitchen correct now picking at what's left) Definitely not your typical meatloaf! Juicy and delicious. We, similar and so many others, used ground turkey. Adjacent time, I may attempt either cutting out the water in the liquid or just using part of the overall. And my wife says, "rename information technology" because it'due south too skillful to be called "meatloaf".
08/04/2007
I've used this recipe for years and it always gets raves! I add 2 or 3 teaspoons of worchestershire sauce to the glaze.
03/07/2005
Needs less liquid, and more to be siphoned off after cooking, merely succulent! I used turkey.
01/14/2013
Lamb! Neb loved this. Leftovers makes swell sandwiches.
09/12/2005
Like shooting fish in a barrel to make recipe. Fabricated some alterations such as using turkey and added some additional spices. The meat itself was great, but the sauce was as well sweet. The again, I don't like to taste "sweetness" on footing turkey. Recommend to either cutting down the sugar or not have it at all. A little tomato sauce equally a topping works well!
07/05/2006
delicious!
08/15/2007
I used turkey and followed this recipe to the letter of the alphabet but information technology was very disappointing. This was the first time my kids didn't want dinner and my husband took forever to finish his. There was too much saccharide and likewise much liquid but non plenty flavor.
02/xv/2019
I used one/2 cup of water and ground lamb. Information technology was delicious and I will definitely make it again!
11/15/2015
Love it! This is i of our family favorites!
07/02/2017
Great bones meatloaf recipe. After reading the recipe thoroughly earlier I prepared it, The book of topping appeared to be more than than was necessary. I adjusted the recipe by adding a one-half a pound of basis pork and six ounces of basis beef. Because I like oregano with my lamb I added a teaspoon of Mediterranean oregano. I used a two pound loaf pan, I had 1/2 inch of space for the topping. Shrinkage will let the book of topping to seep into meat.
12/eighteen/2006
This is my husband's favorite meatloaf! I use 2 lbs basis beefiness and keep all of the other measurements the aforementioned. I apply balsamic vinegar in the sauce, pat the meat into a square glass pan with an indent in the heart, then poke holes with my finger throughout and then some of the sauce soaks in. Bake it for 1 1/two hours at 375. Wonderfully sugariness and tangy and the sauce goes cracking with mashed potatoes too, which are a must with meatloaf in our house!
08/09/2016
I have been making this meatloaf for a couple of years now, everyone loves it. I do not add the water and not a whole cup of crackers. Turns out moist and yummy every time.

Very skillful-we all loved information technology! I used one pound of ground lamb and 1 pound of basis beef. Added an extra egg a little extra crackers some garlic powder and Italian spices. Used the sauce as written and made it in an eight x 8 pan. Perfect corporeality of sauce that way - and we devoured it.

Overnice gentle sweetness flavor, I didn't have cracker crumbs off hand, so I just used regular bread crumbs instead. Yummy!
